When one thinks of K-Swiss, one inevitably thinks of Switzerland, even though it is an American company from California. However, the name does indeed have something to do with Switzerland - the company was founded in 1966 by two Swiss brothers, Art and Ernie Brunner, who fulfilled their dream of having their own shoe factory and chose the globally recognised brand name in reference to their homeland. Both in tennis shoes and in the lifestyle sector, many of the timeless classic models have now achieved cult status, while younger target groups are being addressed with trendy, colourful, and yet highly functional models.
