the Wildfire Edge is a technical approach shoe that can transform from a hiking shoe into a climbing shoe
the Salewa Switchfit system was developed together with mountain guides and professional climbers from the Dolomites and is as simple as it is clever
simply thread the laces through the additional eyelet and tighten them to change the shape of the shoe
your foot is now pulled forward and the toes are squeezed together like in a climbing shoe
this makes climbing with the toe and stepping on friction easier, and safety on technical terrain is increased
switching back to the hiking shoe is done by simply loosening the laces
this widens the toe cap and offers greater comfort while hiking
GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort
under the highly abrasion-resistant upper material (suede leather and microfiber) is the thin, extremely breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane, which protects you from moisture and ensures maximum comfort under various weather conditions
