INTERNAL MIDSOLE SYSTEM
The Internal Midsole System (IMS) is an exclusive technology applied in the construction of the AKU insole. The traditional support structure made of nylon is combined with a layer of microporous material, which is attached to the inside of the upper shoe. This system, in which the sole perfectly adapts to the anatomy of the foot, ensures even pressure distribution, prevents lateral and forward sliding under heavy stress, provides shock absorption, and maximum wearing comfort.

IMS 2
The version IMS2, combines the Internal Midsole System with a thicker midsole made of molded EVA or molded PU, for a correct interaction of sensitivity for the terrain and shock absorption. This combination ensures maximum fitting comfort and pleasant lightness when hiking.

Anonymous wrote on 09.07.2023 Ich habe den Wanderschuh seit genau einem Monat und die Sohle ist bereits im Ballenbereich zu 75 % abgelaufen (ich habe Schuhgröße 45 bei einer Körpergröße von 1,87 m und einem Gewicht von 80 kg). Der Wanderschuh war dabei noch nicht einmal täglich im Einsatz - schätzungsweise habe ich 250 km damit zurückgelegt (sowohl in den Tiroler Bergen als auch auf dem Berliner Asphalt). Eine weniger als durchschnittliche Bewertung hat der Schuh aber tatsächlich nicht verdient, da man ziemlich bequem auch anspruchsvolles Terrain damit sicher und gut bewältigen kann. Die "Schnürung" funktioniert überraschenderweise sehr gut und lässt auch bei großer Beanspruchung nicht bezüglich der Bindungsspannung nach. Der Dämpfungskomfort im Fersenbereich ist besonders angenehm bei Wanderpassagen, die bergab gehen (die Traktion kann durchweg überzeugen). Für passionierte Wanderer, die die Schnürung etwas fester wählen, sollten etwas längere Socken bei ausgedehnten Touren nutzen, da die Schuhzunge sonst auf dem Schienbein reibt (Sneakersocken konnte ich nur tragen, wenn die Schnürung locker eingestellt war). Conclusion:
Für den Preis ist der Verschleiß leider zu hoch - aber trotzdem noch ein befriedigendes Gesamtbild
