The normal test period is (up to) 5 days from the day you receive the racket(s) (usually the day after we send it).
The rackets must be returned to us no later than the 6th day after receipt. Any deviations from this must be agreed with us in advance. Any unauthorized additional test day will be charged at €2.50 per racket and started day without the possibility of later credit towards a racket purchase. If you have not returned the racket(s) to us even 14 days after receipt, we assume that you want to keep it/them and will send you an invoice for the new value of the racket(s) (individual price from the online shop plus stringing costs and any additional services such as vibration dampeners) plus €17.50 per racket for the test fee for days 7 to 14.
Every day counts as a test day, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. If the last test day falls on a Sunday or public holiday, the return must be made on the next working day.
No. Tennis rackets are only offered in the most common grip size "3" (4 3/8). Pure ladies rackets usually have grip size "2" (4 ¼).
3 rackets are the standard. In exceptional cases, deviations can be made with our consent. The conditions for this must be individually agreed upon. The credit of the test fee towards a later racket purchase is limited to a maximum of 3 rackets per person and purchase.
Most test rackets are constantly on the move, as many customers take advantage of the opportunity to test them. Although we have several testers of all popular models in stock, we cannot guarantee a desired date and cannot make reservations. If a desired test racket is not immediately ready for dispatch, we will of course inform you about the availability date.
All test rackets are equipped with high-quality strings that are suitable for the respective racket and do not interfere with the test. The rackets have been strung by us (not factory strung), and the string and string tension have been selected in such a way that a wide range of individual playing styles can achieve good test results with the overall system. The properties of the strings aim for a medium all-round range, i.e. the properties of the frame can still be modified in any desired direction with other strings (more or less acceleration, more feel, etc.). The overgrips used are specially made for tennistown; if you like this grip, it can be purchased through our online shop.
No. Any modification to the racket is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent. For violations, you are liable to us in accordance with the following information (an information sheet is included with each test racket shipment); these amounts cannot be credited towards a later racket purchase.
- Removed or changed string: €40
- Playing without a frame protection tape (tennis + squash): €15
- Playing without an overgrip, removed or changed base grip: €10
- Racket is returned without a cover: €20
Of course, you can remove the vibration dampener during the test. Changing the overgrip is also allowed. Playing without an overgrip is not allowed; a changed overgrip must remain on the racket.
You are liable for any consequential damages caused by unauthorized modifications up to the new value of the racket plus any replacement costs.
Please contact us by email on the same day so that we can discuss the further procedure. Re-stringing the racket, whether by yourself or by an external specialist, is only allowed with our prior written consent. Removing the broken string is also prohibited in this context.
If a racket breaks during testing, please contact us as soon as possible (preferably by email).
If you are responsible for the accident (intent or gross negligence), you are liable for the damage caused.
The same applies if you do not use the racket as intended (e.g. damage caused by contact with walls or floors or hitting other hard objects) or consciously accept damage (e.g. by removing the frame protection tape).
If none of these factors are causally responsible for the damage, you are exempt from liability.
An assessment of the matter is only possible after we have received the racket back. If something happens to one of the test rackets, it is particularly important not to make any subsequent modifications to the racket that would make it difficult or impossible to evaluate the incident, as this will invariably lead to claims for compensation.
The liability applies analogously to gross damage caused by non-intended use (e.g. paint chipping or hairline cracks resulting from contact with floors, walls or other hard objects) and the resulting reduction in properties.
If any unforeseen circumstances prevent you from completing the test, please contact us immediately by email so that we can find a satisfactory solution for both parties. Without information, the following generally applies: A hindrance to testing that falls causally within your private or personal sphere and cannot be influenced by us (e.g. illness, accident, vacation, weather conditions, availability of playing facilities or partners) does not have a suspensive or modifying effect on testing. All conditions and terms, including the resulting test fees, are independent of this.
If you purchase one or more new rackets of the tested models from us within a period of 2 weeks after the end of the test (i.e. the day of the regular return shipment), the test fee incurred (excluding shipping costs!) will be credited towards the racket purchase. The creditable test fee is limited to a maximum of 3 rackets for a 5-day test period (3x €6.95 = €20.85).
If it is a new racket (i.e. you are the first person to test this racket), you can purchase this racket if you wish. There is no obligation to do so.
For used (i.e. already played by several people) test rackets, there is no advantage in purchasing the tester, as we cannot offer you a discount on it. In any case, after returning the test rackets, you will receive a new copy of the desired model from us. However, if you are satisfied with the condition of the played test racket, you can also purchase it. Please inquire by email in case of doubt.
Models of rackets that we remove from our range are sold off at irregular intervals, and these can be purchased through our online shop like any other racket.
A return label is included with our shipments within Germany. For returns within Germany, you can simply use this return label after the test period has expired. After removing the outbound label, simply attach the return label clearly visible to the package and drop off the package at any post office. In this case, the return is free of charge for you.
We do not cover the costs for a return shipment of the test rackets in any other way, as well as the general return costs for test rackets for deliveries outside of Germany. We will invoice you for any additional fees incurred for an unpaid return shipment.
You are responsible for properly packaging the rackets for the return shipment.
No. The delivery of test rackets is not a purchase of goods, but a temporary rental of the products. Therefore, the right of withdrawal and its provisions do not apply to the order of test rackets.
