Functionality of the Tourna Stringmeter
The device measures the approximate tension of an individual string
It takes advantage of the physical effect that to deflect a tensioned elastic material depending on the tension and elongation, a greater force is required the stronger the material is under tension
To determine a meaningful value for the string tension of the racket, several central strings of the racket should be measured one after the other and the average value should be calculated
The device should be placed in the middle of the stringing so that the distance of the measured string to the frame is approximately equal in both directions
