AIR 8000
Laboratory tests confirm that the upper material made with the exclusive AKU system AIR 8000® offers up to 11.5 times higher breathability than normal standards with GORE-TEX®. Even after 20 years, the AKU system AIR 8000® remains one of the most modern technologies for excellent breathability of hiking shoes.
EXOSKELETON
Exoskeleton is a new solution used by AKU in some high-tech models. A new architecture aims to provide protection and stability only where needed, without compromising lightness.
GORE TEX
The GORE-TEX® membrane offers an optimal combination of
breathability and insulation, ensuring dry feet and optimal comfort
for a wide range of outdoor activities
- in all weather conditions.
INTERNAL MIDSOLE SYSTEM
The Internal Midsole System (IMS) is an exclusive technology applied in the construction of the AKU insole. The traditional support structure made of nylon is combined with a layer of microporous material, which is attached to the inside of the upper shoe. This system, in which the sole perfectly adapts to the anatomy of the foot, ensures even pressure distribution, prevents lateral and forward sliding under heavy stress, provides shock absorption, and maximum wearing comfort.
IMS 3
In the version IMS3, the Internal Midsole System is coupled with an Exoskeleton construction and a second internal element made of molded EVA. The outer structure made of lightweight Polyurethane, a resistant, stable, and durable material, provides protection and support at key points, thus ensuring additional safety with every step. The layer of molded EVA, a softer material, also provides cushioning and damping, for a particularly comfortable walking feeling.
WOMAN FIT
The lasts specially developed for the anatomical shape of the female foot
are comfortable, enveloping and guarantee comfort and stability on uneven mountain paths.
VIBRAM
Soles Vibram® are developed with regard to sole profile and composition of the rubber compound according to the requirements for the special field of application of the shoes.
